two cats arrange them-
-selves in a sweet tableau, but
which should I pet first?

Kyp observes shifted
objects, does not consider
impending cleaning

lime floats in gin and
tonic like a fish, attracts
fluffy predator

baguette delivers
garlic confit, Parmesan, 
parsley to our mouths

two cats meet; the one
made with sugar is less sweet
than the one with fur

Kyp hunts: for mice, treats
or cuddles? this cat's doing
serious business

among the blue and
white flowers of the chair, a
black and white dog rests

Meyer lemon tree
produced piquant bud, perhaps 
an atom of juice

not fast enough to
photograph cat’s joyful face,
I’ll brush her again

Kyp savors summer
air and balcony’s Astro
turf on his belly
