Adelaide – Selected haiku

cat wants me to share
my joy with her, use my hands
for pets, not photos

Christmas tree, covered
with baubles, looks bare without
a cat at its base

two cats arrange them-
-selves in a sweet tableau, but
which should I pet first?

two cats meet; the one
made with sugar is less sweet
than the one with fur

not fast enough to
photograph cat’s joyful face,
I’ll brush her again

suited cat looks Mod
but fears instruments, killing
cat band ambitions

cat can brush herself
but loves being brushed; we can
all use helping hand

plantain-cat awaits 
brushing, ripening 
ever more sweetly

cute cats, queued for their
supper, queried my photo-
-graph’s composition
