cat finds no ghosts in 
humidifier’s mist but
remains vigilant

cat lies on the floor
and exposes snaggletooth
that snags my heartstrings

cat wants me to share
my joy with her, use my hands
for pets, not photos

delivered: box of
gray, furry, purring tofu. 
it’s too cute to eat

cradled cat, cranky
about cuddles, scowls and con-
-templates breaking out

laundry basket holds
cat, warm and fluffy without
going in dryer

leashed cat steps on grass 
he looks upon each day, ex-
-ploring in safety

heard sneezes under 
my bed, found adorable
nose-havers (cute cats)

photographing cute
cat poses before they move
is like herding cats

Grey menace tries sink-
-ing his teeth into beer bot-
-tle; his prey prevails
