confluence framed by
snow, much wetter than software

do the geese regret
returning to Virginia?
it’s cold this winter

check out this good boy;
great at cleaning (by eating),
baying at neighbors

it came from Lake Anne:
snow person with coffee bean
eyes, carved facial features

did Robert Simon’s
scarf pass muster with Reston’s
Design Review Board?

frozen Lake Anne holds
snow-covered boats, no skaters.
looks like Christmas card

unimpressed by snow,
tortoiseshell cat serves looks cold-
-er than winter storm

suspicious and then
disappointed by our wet
offering, Kyp left

that’s not a gargoyle
on the china cabinet:
he loves wet food; purrs

snowfall looks nice
but fails to alleviate
pandemic ennui
