months-old kefir must
transit stronger plumbing than
we mortals possess

taking a mid-day
constitutional, seeking
head pats, also snacks

wheelbarrows become
planters if you leave plant life
in them long enough

levee inspector
wants to know where sandbags came
from, when they can leave

pre-storm twilight (not
a… midnight sun) near lake,
flowers among grass

before Isaias
landed, an orange sunset,
reflected in lake

hark, new mystery
berries! left them uneaten
(a road untraveled?)

has Pontus risen?
no, it’s a water feature
built into Lake Anne

is this lamp trying
to signal the UFOs,
like Allagash Four?
