sun setting over
Route Seven; clouds blanketing
blue and orange sky

a post meant to
warn cars from discarded bridge
now part of food chain

How is the wind like
Facebook? They share a motto:
“Move fast and break things.”

quieter fauna: flies!
not as cute as the birds that
they will someday feed

hark! assorted plants
growing next to a footpath
likely not poison?

a happier time
for the vanquished invader;
much less so for me

not murder hornet,
still quite menacing, until
dad severed its head

wet cherry blossom
hanging on after others
fell off and rotted

does birdsong help grass
grow taller? motivation
in each chirp (or tweet)?

outside, a new muse
(new neighborhood views): some green
leafy foliage
