awake before the
farmers’ market closed, I bought 
bread as a reward

standing near different
trees than usual, smizing
through our humid masks

found inside denim
jacket’s pockets: last summer’s 
NYC(?) refuse

put all your weight on
one leg. not for Twister, it’s
contrapposto pose!

…oft misremembered
as “chiasmus pose,” at least
inside of my head

Madonna and child?
no, that’s a water bottle
for chugging... bigly
