is this lamp trying
to signal the UFOs,
like Allagash Four?

choosing not to be
millennials who stare at
trash, we threw this out

shiny insect, brought
into home on face mask, squash’d
(alas and alack)

struggling to capture
earthshine, eventually
sort of succeeding

clouds like in paintings
reflect rosy pink twilight
onto street, sibling

immature acorn
green promise of tree broken
now food for squirrels

does the cat laser
make a noise as it zaps, like,
feline hemorrhoids?

geese swim to public 
lake access point, perhaps to 
grab a late night snack

bulbous seed pods, like
Artemis of Ephesus,
but full of flowers
