broke dad’s sander
while isolating with parents
(it’s fine, he fixed it)

finished making a
footstool last month. should have used
thinner hairpin legs.

salve Mutinus
Tutinus, you rock solid
god! please stay away

geese walk into the
unfrozen part of Lake Anne
after months away

he’s looking at you
through new coffee bean eyes (good
for never blinking)

afternoon sun melts
Lake Anne, caught mid-ripple, and
the remaining snow

snow, much wetter than software

do the geese regret
returning to Virginia?
it’s cold this winter
